B2Bpay Excluded Industries and Payments

B2Bpay is a registered Payment Facilitator with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other banking partners. 

Whilst we love helping  Australian businesses make and receive payments with ease, as part of AUSTRAC, anti-money laundering, KYC and banking compliance, there are some payments that we can’t process. 

Please find a list below of payments we can’t process. 

B2Bpay cannot be used to make payments relating to:

  • Payments to businesses not based in Australia and/or without an Australian bank account.
  • Payments to a related business entity
  • Securities - Securities Broker, Investment Company or Company directly, IPOs, share trading, bond purchases, etc.
  • Debt and Financing – Loan or debt repayments (mortgage, car loan, personal and company loan, etc), debt collection, investment, pay day loans, short term lending, etc.
  • Money transfer services
  • Currency exchange
  • Adult services, pornography, sex services, escort services
  • Gambling – licenced or un-licenced gambling or betting, casinos, lotteries, sporting arbitrage
  • Self-managed Super
  • Precious metals or minerals – e.g. gold, diamonds, etc.
  • Tobacco and/or associated products or services – including vapes, vaping, pipes, quit smoking, etc.
  • Political donations
  • Wages – ABN contractors payments permitted
  • Firearms, weapons, etc.
  • Herbal remedies, legal highs, etc.
  • Cyberlocker services, file sharing or storage
  • Online pharmaceuticals, legal or illegal drugs, products that commit to provide tangible medical or health benefits
  • Sports or luxury car hire
  • Solarium products
  • Solar power, voucher or coupons
  • Crowd funding
  • Direct marketing – telemarketing schemes
  • Replica, counterfeit or fake goods or services
  • Online alcohol sale – wholesaler suppliers must provide licencing and age rules compliance
  • Crypto currency – any forms of crypto, bitcoin or other virtual currencies
  • Prepaid card, stored value cards
  • Credit card repayments – permitted when you pay by bank account
  • Travel suppliers and airline ticket consolidators – permitted when you pay by bank account
  • Payments to individuals – must be a registered business, company, sole trader, entity
  • Any payment for an illegal or potentially misleading or deceptive good or service
  • Any payment that may cause reputational or other risk to us or our banking partners
  • Any payment which is not a bona fide payment as a result of a legitimate business expense.

We may apply additional restrictions and may amend this list at any time without notice in order to comply with internal or external restrictions.
